I come from a small community of Soshanguve, outside Pretoria in South Africa, I was raised in a Tsonga home where respect, generosity and humility were as fundamental as valuing the elders. We learned how to cook by helping our elders in the kitchen and they, in turn, instilled in us values and morals from a young age. Khanyisa – A culinary storyteller – Where past meets the present is more than just a cookbook. It is a brilliant art and celebration of culture experienced in food.  The book makes use of stunning photography to narrate epicurean and traditional food stories on one plate.
